James Burbank - Board Member
Photographer writer, and poet James Burbank has written over 200 articles appearing in national and regional press. He is the author of Vanishing Lobo: The Mexican Wolf in the Southwest and most recently the OxBow Poems, poems, essays and photographs focused on the Rio Grande. He taught for many years in the of New Mexico’s English Dept. where he served as Director of the Professional Writing Internship program and where he co-founded both the multi-year UNM Domestic Violence Conference and the Success in the Classroom Conference. He is past Vice President of UNM’s American Association of University Professors (AAUP) chapter. Now retired, he serves as PR and Program Coordinator for Journey Santa Fe, a progressive presentation and issues discussion program.
