Briana Olson

Briana Olson is a writer and editor whose work is often focused on the foodshed, relationships with land, and interdisciplinary arts. Currently the editor of edible New Mexico and The Bite, she previously served as editor for The New Farmer’s Almanac, an anthology of writing and art by farmers, agroecologists, and diverse land advocates. She has also worked with Agrarian Trust, where she managed production of the FaithLands Toolkit, a guide to support faith communities in aligning their spiritual traditions with just, resilient land use.
Briana holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Houston, where she received a Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center scholarship, and prior to becoming an editor taught English and writing at Mount Tamalpais College at San Quentin State Prison, Chabot College, and Central New Mexico Community College, among others. |
