How do you experience grief—as absence, love, or something else?
|
Grief is a portal for personal growth. Nothing can crack me open and render me more vulnerable to the agonizing and pressing need to confront the limits of my capacities to handle trauma quite like a good kick in the grief receptacle. If I get quiet enough, and if I ask myself the right questions, like what am I afraid of, and if I’m honest enough with myself, a huge breakthrough can occur, rendering me so much more tolerant, sensitive to the needs of others, calm, peaceful, and accepting of the situation. It’s a gift - Grief.

I feel the absence with all my senses.
